With over six years' experience in the organisation of EU events, Dan Craft is responsible, with James Wilmott, for the strategic and operational management of the company. Dan has expertise in media, telecommunications, Internet policy, education and financial services, and heads up the Forum Europe team responsible for conferences and events in this area.
Dan Craft graduated from the University of Reading in 2002 with a BA (Hons) in Linguistics and then moved to the IT sector where he worked for a UK university advising on procurement and strategy.
Dan then became Conference Production Manager for Europe at a conference company where he was responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination of issue identification and project management. He was intensively involved in the delivery of events across a range of sectors. In 2005, alongside James Wilmott, Dan founded Epsilon Events which merged with Forum Europe SA in 2009.
At Forum Europe Dan continues to specialise in the telecoms, finance and IT sectors. Clients in this area include The European Telecommunications Network Operators Association, American Express, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Barclays Capital.

| | James Wilmott, Managing Director
James Wilmott, alongside Dan Craft, is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the business. James has expertise in the telecommunications, energy, environment and pharmaceuticals sectors and leads on a range of accounts.
James graduated from Lancaster University (Edge Hill) in 2002 with a degree in Communications and spent a year undertaking research into European communications policy within the context of public perceptions of Europe and the EU in the UK, while also teaching at undergraduate degree level. He also briefly undertook postgraduate research into notions of fandom, particularly in relation to videogames.
James then joined a large design and marketing company in the UK before spending a year at a European conference company as Marketing Manager for the European region. In 2005 James founded Epsilon Events with Dan Craft, which in turn merged with Forum Europe SA in 2009 to form the leading EU-dedicated conference and event provider.
At Forum Europe, James specialises in the e-commerce, energy and consumer related sectors. Clients in this area include The Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS), eBay, Accenture, DHL and Amway.

| | | |  | | Giles Merritt, President
Giles Merritt founded Forum Europe in 1989. Merritt’s background is as a journalist and commentator. From 1968-83, he was a staff correspondent of the Financial Times and reported successively from London, Paris, Belfast/Dublin and Brussels. From 1984 to the present day he has contributed columns on EU matters to the Op-Ed pages of the International Herald Tribune, and his articles range widely over political and economic issues.
Merritt is also the founder and Secretary General of Friends of Europe, the most focused of the three main think tanks in Brussels on reaching public opinion across Europe.
Merritt launched Europe’s World, the only Europe-wide policy journal in Autumn 2005 as a European counterpart to the US periodical Foreign Affairs. Europe’s World has no institutional, national or party political bias and is published in English and French in partnership with a coalition of over 100 think tanks and universities worldwide, and now has over 100, 000 readers in 171 countries.
In addition, Merritt is the co-founder and Director of the Security and Defence Agenda (the SDA), the only think tank in Brussels that concentrates solely on security and defence issues.
Merritt’s work with think tanks began in the mid-1980s, when he devised and chaired a series of Business Policy Seminars on behalf of the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS). He went on to act as Moderator at the French-language debates organised by the Club de Bruxelles, and at many of the conferences held by Aspen Institute Italia. From 1992 until 1999 he was the Director of the Philip Morris Institute for Public Policy Research (PMI), and was responsible for its highly successful series of quarterly Discussion Papers.

Geert Cami headed Forum Europe’s team of experienced European Affairs and press specialists between May 1996 and July 2008, before he passed over the day-to-day management to James Wilmott and Dan Craft. He remains active as a Director on the Forum Europe board. Geert is also the publisher of Europe’s World, the only Europe-wide policy Journal, and Founding Director of two Brussels-based thinktanks: the Security and Defence Agenda, and Friends of Europe, one of Europe’s liveliest thinktanks for EU policy analysis and debate. Before joining Forum Europe, Geert worked for more than three years in the European Commission’s Information and Communications Unit of the then newly set-up European Community Humanitarian Office (ECHO).

Amanda joined Forum Europe in 2007 as an Event Development Executive within the Brussels office of Forum Europe. In 2010 she was promoted as Senior Events Manager and Amanda has developed an excellent reputation for her work in the telecoms and health sectors. Of note, Amanda is responsible for Forum Europe's annual Internet of Things Conference which, after only one year, has the endorsement and close collaboration with the European Commission. Laura joined Forum Europe in July 2008 works on a number of events in a variety of different sectors, including financial services, telecoms and chemicals policy. Her role involves supporting all aspects of event development and she is editor of Epsilon's quarterly newsletter, OnEurope.
Laura holds an English degree from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, and worked in both the private and public sectors prior to joining Forum Europe.

Laura joined Forum Europe in July 2009. Laura works on a number of projects across the business, focusing upon telecoms, finance and consumer issues. She is currently working with clients including eBay, Accenture and American Express.

RobertaBonometti, a profesional journalist based in London, is Forum Europe’sPress Officer. | | John Hate, Designer
In 2007 John founded Hatedesign after seven years experience of working within the design industry and also achieving a BA Hons degree in graphic design at university. He specialises in branding and corporate identity, advertising and the design of brochures and corporate literature and has formed a firm relationship with Epsilon Events and Forum Europe producing a strong visual identity.
Hatedesign also works with Grayling in Brussels and through Forum Europe, has produced design work for clients such as ETNO, The Authentics Foundation, Johnson and Johnson, The British Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and The European Heart Network.
With a range of personal creative interests including Illustration, live music & music production, film & photography, singing, traveling and of course growing beards he calls on all of these influences to keep his design fresh and his creative flair alive.
